Duval Motor Company was founded in 1916 as Northeast Florida’s premier Ford dealership. In the century since then, the company has grown to include new dealerships, expanded operations, and complementary business units with national reach. The company’s leaders engaged us to develop a way to translate DMC’s core values — Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Drive, and Empathy — into an actionable plan to drive employee engagement and performance.
We started by developing a sub-brand for the company’s values and employee engagement efforts: Duval PRIDE. Next, we developed a comprehensive internal communications plan that included a launch strategy, recurring touchpoint opportunities, and external-facing communication tactics to encourage customer feedback. Finally, we wrote and produced a video that articulates the core values for current and prospective employees.
Since 1916, Duval Motor Company has been going above and beyond customers expectations in sales and service right here in Jacksonville. We were enlisted to bring their service department to the front and center – highlighting that they do so much more than just sell cars.
People love their cars, and Duval loves their customers. Duval wanted to earn new customers by offering service first – a bold move in the Bold City. Their campaign highlighted the services they offer for every car, not just ones purchased on one of their many lots, like oil changes and brake jobs. We created a heart icon that was used throughout the campaign along with real customer testimonials. Simple, direct and honest – three things Duval Motor Company has always been known for.
