The 20th anniversary logo for The DONNA Foundation

Fueled by an outpouring of support and a desire to see a revitalized downtown, The Jacksonville Jaguars and Iguana Investments, Shad Khan’s development company, created a game plan to turn renderings into reality.

To rally the community, the team approached us to develop a campaign that would launch their vision for the Jacksonville Shipyards and the path toward a Stadium of the Future.

The campaign zeroed in on the idea that while Jacksonville is ready for a touchdown, it needs a First Down — for Downtown.

The logo combines those ideas as a play on words while integrating the waves and colors of the St. Johns River. To kick off the campaign, we created a messaging platform, imagery, website, presentation, and social media accounts to keep in-person and online conversations in line with the 1st DownTown branding. This approach drove our marketing strategy and social media content calendar, as well as additional brand activations throughout Jacksonville, like the 1st DownTown Community Huddles and in-stadium advertising.

In 2015, our firm was selected through a competitive bid process to provide strategic public relations support for the organization’s operations in Northeast Florida and expansion throughout the state.

In the years since then, our efforts have resulted in hundreds of positive earned media placements in local, regional, and national outlets, ranging from industry awards and coverage of new construction developments throughout the project life cycle, to client success stories and thought leadership opportunities.

The results are in.

And it worked! Their team secured the touchdown, garnering momentous support from the community and Jacksonville City Council for their plans. More than 1,200 emails were submitted through landing pages we created in partnership with the Jags, driving traffic to the sites using email marketing, social media, and public relations. With so much success, their internal team is replicating the same campaign format to build momentum for the next wave.

In addition, our design team meticulously crafted packaging that not only captured attention but also embodied the unique essence of each brand, evoking anticipation and excitement on the shelf.

Our campaign development and associated collateral — from in-stadium ads to POS displays — heightened brand awareness and engagement on occasions such as Cinco de Mayo, anniversary campaigns or new product launches.

Let’s turn your idea into realized potential.
