The Jacksonville Business Journal named Wingard CEO Russell Baker as one of its 2022 class of Ultimate CEOs. The annual award is bestowed on individuals who have led their companies to success through times of challenge and growth. Honorees are local business leaders who stand as examples of leadership in the Jacksonville area.

Baker joined the Wingard team as the agency’s chief strategy officer in 2016, and was appointed as CEO in 2019. He came to Wingard looking to make a difference, both at the agency and in the Northeast Florida community, and brought insights from his experience at the Coca-Cola Company that have positively shaped the culture of the business.

From the start, he knew there was a unique opportunity to contribute to Northeast Florida’s growth through Wingard’s work. To Baker, focus has been key for expanding Wingard’s client partner base and services. With so much national attention on Jacksonville as a place to live and do business, he has made it a priority for the agency to aid in the transformative momentum across the city.

“There’s crystal clarity in what we’re doing and how we’re doing it,” Baker said. “It’s helping our community grow and helping our clients grow.”
