We are proud members of the AIGA and Jacksonville communities, and always looking to get involved and give back. Recently, we were able to accomplish both by doing the logo design pro-bono for AIGA Jacksonville’s December 2018 Cocktails & Creatives networking and charity event, Toy Show, at Intuition Ale Works. The partnership seemed like a perfect fit for our team — we’ve all got a little kid in us, and we love tinkering.

The event featured an open call for artists to make or design their own toys for the show. Proceeds/toy donations benefited Daniel Kids. In the spirit of the open call for toys, we put out an “open call” to our internal team of designers. They all submitted their best interpretation of a logo for the event, and AIGA would use the winning design in all of their digital efforts related to the show, including website headers, social media graphics, invites, and more.

One of the staples of our company’s culture is friendly competition, which yielded a variety of unique and outstanding logo lockups. Ultimately, the final decision, however, was in the hands of the AIGA team.

We’re so proud of each of our designers and what they came up with. Ultimately, one of our designers, Nick Villalva, won with his design. It highlights elements of vintage toys and geometric patterns, creating a playful yet sleek look — just what AIGA was going for. Way to go, Nick!

In addition to creating the logo lockup for the event, Nick also designed his own toy for the show. We had a blast supporting a wonderful cause!
