Wingard Creative Claims Five District ADDY Awards
Wingard Creative received five ADDY awards at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) 4th District American Advertising Awards, which were held on May 2, 2015 in Orlando. The agency earned three Gold ADDY awards, one Silver ADDY award, and a Charlie Award. Named after the creator of the ADDY Awards, Charlie Whitebrook, the Charlie Award honors the best work in each of the 14 media divisions. The AAF 4th District comprises 21 local federations throughout Florida and the Caribbean, including AAF Jacksonville.
Wingard Creative’s integrated campaign for the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens earned the most recognition, netting two Gold ADDY awards and the Charlie Award.
The judges for this competition were Mark Carlson, Senior Creative Director, US Marketing for McDonald’s Corporation; Tom Christmann, Chief Creative Officer at DiMassimo Goldstein; and Juan Barrera, Captain and Chief Creator/Founder at Legacy79. Gold-winning entries from AAF district competitions will now advance to the AAF national competition. A panel of industry experts will judge winning entries from all 15 AAF districts. The national American Advertising Awards will be held on June 13, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“It is an honor to receive this level of recognition from industry leaders, especially since they don’t work in the Jacksonville market like we do,” said David Wingard, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Wingard Creative. “The campaigns we produced for the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, General Beauregard Dixie Vodka, and the Cathedral Arts Project are some of the most creative projects in our portfolio. We look forward to representing our team, our clients and Jacksonville’s creative community at the national level.”
