This week, our communications team was busy fielding media requests and appointments on behalf of our restaurant PR clients to make sure everyone had the scoop on where to celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday.

With dad’s big day just two days away, enjoy these delicious ideas from our friends at WJXT, Edible Northeast Florida, First Coast News, The Florida Times-Union, the Jacksonville Fine Dining Examiner, and Downtown Vision:

1. Thank dad for teaching you his favorite recipe.

Executive Chef Roger Regulacion shared his pancit recipe, which he learned from his father, on WJXT’s River City Live. This Sunday, HOBNOB will serve an array of specials at brunch and dinner, including Prime Rib French Dip, Coffee Rubbed 14 oz. Ribeye, and a whiskey flight. Make your reservation at HOBNOBWithUs.com.

2. Skip the tie and give dad something he really wants.

Executive Chef Ian Lynch from the Cowford Chophouse shared some of his favorite Father’s Day gifts with Edible Northeast Florida. Any dad who knows his way around a kitchen would love his suggestions, such as a Himalayan salt block, cast-iron skillet, or local spices and herbs.

3. Surprise dad with the VIP treatment.

Matt Mannick, President of Forking Amazing Restaurants (the parent company behind Ovinté, Bistro Aix, and Il Desco) shared his insider knowledge with the ladies of The Chat on First Coast News. A little advance planning is all it takes!

4. Make a reservation for the best restaurant in town.

Dan MacDonald (The Florida Times-Union’s Dining Notes columnist) and George Singeltary (the Jax Fine Dining Examiner) always know the best places to go for any big dining holiday. Both of their lists of destinations for Father’s Day include HOBNOB, Ovinté, Bistro Aix, and Il Desco.

5. Go local.

Downtown Vision has great ideas for how to celebrate the holiday AND support local businesses in Downtown Jacksonville at the same time. We were thrilled to see a visit to HOBNOB included in their recommendations for how to spoil foodie dads!

Where will you take dad this Sunday? In addition to our PR clients HOBNOB, Ovinté, Bistro Aix, and Il Desco, we also recommend letting our friends at Black Sheep, Orsay, Moxie Kitchen & Cocktails, Burrito Gallery, Uptown Kitchen, and Mellow Mushroom take care of the cooking.

Happy Father’s Day, everyone!
