Wingard is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Public Relations & Communications Manager. The right candidate for this position will have a passion for securing earned media that drives awareness, consideration, and loyalty for our client partners.

Position Details

Job Duties
- Daily management and leadership of assigned client accounts, including client communication, proactive and reactive media relations, and collaboration with internal team to support each account’s needs
- Drafting and distributing press releases, pitches, award submissions, articles, and other communications assets
- Providing on-site support for press conferences, as necessary
- Securing media opportunities for clients and providing support in advance of interviews (coordination, scheduling, pre-interview preparation, etc.)
- Accompanying clients for media interviews (by phone, virtually, and in person as needed)
- Creation and maintenance of media contact lists
- Leading client meetings, including agenda creation and post-meeting action items
- Ensuring client and media requests are managed promptly
- Monitoring and reporting on client coverage using Critical Mention and independent research
- Compiling monthly/quarterly/campaign-specific coverage reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field
- 4+ years experience managing multiple clients or initiatives; agency and/or commercial real estate experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience pitching and securing media coverage in regional, industry, and national outlets
- Experience with media monitoring and reporting software a plus (Wingard uses Critical Mention)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including AP Style
- Proficiency in Mac computer systems a plus

- Highly organized: Own and manage projects from beginning to end; meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities and timelines; utilize project management software to plan, track, and report on deliverables
- Collaborative: Actively contribute to department planning meetings, and seek opportunities to align PR with other services (such as digital marketing, traditional media campaigns, etc.)
- Results-oriented: Consistently deliver media opportunities and coverage that meets and exceeds each client’s goals
